Summer averaged about 44MPG Best tank was 46.7 at over 700 miles
Winter so far down to about 38MPG

38 city, 42 - 48 mpg hwy.
'09 Jetta TDI.
A V6 generally gets lesser mpg than a 4 cyl, so 27 mpg seems reasonable.

2014 Mazda 3i Hatch, 2.0l engine
Blended hwy/urban average since I bought the car: 36.6 mpg. The car has a built in MPG computer so this should be accurate. That's pretty awesome and better than the EPA rating.

My 2010 Altima reports 32mpg freeway all of the time (80mph) but really it's more like 30.5 / 31mpg. Tends to be more like 26-27 in the city.

Driven 40 miles each way to/from work. Frequently stomping on the gas to pass slow-pokes on the 2-lane stretches, or zooming down sideroad shortcuts to get ahead of construction vehicles, all with lots of hills.
Bought the car used from Enterprise with 30+K on it 3 years ago and have tracked my mileage via Fuelly ever since. I have averaged 20-25 mpg throughout my ownership:

2006 Honda Civic - around 24-26, all surface streets and bad traffic.
2014 Ford Explorer - 17.4 in total average since we got it in late March. Almost all surface streets and bad traffic.

30-32 mpg on the streets, 36-38 <s>in the sheets</s> on the highway.
