I do remember a dvdjosh or something that made a big production about having a mod ban him because he wanted more out of life and was spending too much time here. I guess he didn't have the will power to just stop logging in.

das Monkey was the first one to come to mind.
Yeah, he said he was going to school and wouldn't be able to hang around her anymore. Of course we weren't sure why someone couldn't just drop in on vacations and whatever, but then that was part of the big "if you call attention to yourself with a goodbye thread then you will be banned" discussion.

I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but occasionally I'll think about someone I haven't seen post in a while and wonder what happened to them. Then I'll remember they changed their name to something else.

It's funny, since some of the folks mentioned I don't miss at all
I do miss PopcornTreeCt. I miss a lot of the Laker fans that used to be around in the sports forum.
Josh Hinkle I believe was the other fellow that requested to be banned, right?

You're correct. He created a "Goodbye" thread in 2013.
Though he has posted once in 2014 and was logged in a few months ago, so he's still around a little bit.

I always confused PopcornTreeCt with Solid Snake PAC. Not that their styles were at all similar, but just the combinations of letters somehow.

All of them.
There was a time that a thread had to be bumped back up to page one for the afternoon crowd, and bumped again for the evening crowd.

I'm serious when I say that I miss seeing posts from X.
Can't recall how many times I tried to kill that bug that was crawling on my screen.

Once upon a time, X was a fun guy. But in the months before the blow-up, his posts were nearly always angry. I made a sincere suggestion that he take a break.

I actually miss art and his crazy obsession with needing man-on-man action in straight porn. No matter how hard anyone tried, they couldn't get him to understand that girl-on-girl action in straight porn is okay because the "straight" in straight porn refers to the straight males viewing said videos.

This got me to thinking about my early days in the forum, or even as a lurker, in the bargains section. Speedy's work was always appreciated. I recall punit being another who always started threads--just looked him up and he hasn't posted in a few months. Then mnementh was one who would make a list of sale titles that was easy to read/navigate--just looked him up and he's still very much active, but as you mentioned above, I guess our paths don't cross as often.

I'm going way back but I miss Jeremy Lancaster the most, closely followed by the Edit King, Paul the Third. I know the King posts now and then but he used to be around in every thread it seemed. The old threads around 2000 were packed and constantly posted in. Those were the days my friends.

I've never been part of the "in" crowd here, but I think I remember sfssdfddfd and Bushdog, from waaaay back when, being pretty cool.
