2.32 and 9/10, today at Costco and Sam's. I think I will fill up the gas guzzling pickup and drive it around for 350 miles and get it re-filled on Sunday.

Filled up tonight at my grocery store gas station with the price for regular at $2.46. Got .30 cents off a gallon with my shoppers card. Never thought I'd see $2.16 again. And it's still headed down!

I got $3.03 last night which is great for us.

NY always blamed our high prices on our location in relation to the refineries not on the taxes. The problem is NJ is usually .50 less than us and its an adjoining state.

In 2012 we had 50 cents per gallon, highest in the US once again.

The location excuse is such bullshit. People who claim that need to explain why California us right behind NY even though there are refineries there.

Amen brother.

Not get too far off-topic but we are a welfare state. PA does not allow ex-cons to collect many of the "welfare" or social services. So they come to NY. Obama in his executive order on immigration said, and I'm paraphrasing; don't worry, these new immigrants will not be allowed to collect welfare and health benefits. In NY they can. Our state years ago granted illegals all forms of welfare payments, food stamps, etc. They just announced that this new "amnesty" or whatever you want to call it will likely cost NY taxpayers $2B next year. They go where they find the money train is and we seem to think the train never ends. WHEW. Sorry for the off-topic rant.

That makes more sense.

We should prepare for $7/gal rates!

Re: I just paid $2.97 / gal for gas! Hoo-ray!?

A gas station in Louisiana made a big mistake by selling gas for 29 cents a gallon.

"Gas station attendants say the pumps went haywire. There's no other explanation as to why the prices were so low," KSLA reporter Nicolette Schleisman says.

"I filled my truck up for about $3," one man says.

The last time gas was priced that low was in the 1960s, when the average gallon cost 31 cents.

The problem at the Natchitoches Chevron gas station wasn't solved for eight hours. An attendant said people filled up everything from gas canisters to boats.

The jump that I remember is that it used to be around $1/gal in the late 90's. And then it popped up to $2-$3 one summer, and never went back down.

Seems stable around $2.83 in SoCal as the lowest I've seen. Yet, air travel is still sky high, so I guess the airlines will reap record profits, cashing in with all their greed.

"Once prices, go up, they stay up" seems to be true in nearly all cases except the price of crude oil and gasoline.

Gas price drops to under $2.50 just months after converting the engine to run on 'shine.

Thanks, Obama!

Paid $2.33/gal Las night straight up, no special deals, cards, grocery points required. Already had a quarter tank so it was $16 to fill it.

In Louisville? Where was that? It's still $2.54 in the south end.

I was thinking $10/gallon. I guess, compared to you, I'm a moderate when it comes to transportation issues.

Yup, distinctly remember filling up at a QT outside of Atlanta when it was ~$0.79/$0.89/$0.99 per gallon for 87/89/92 or whatever the octanes were. Once in a while I would treat my car to the good stuff since it was still under a buck.

Filled up this morning for $2.69 a gallon. First time since I've had my current car and filled up for less than $30.
