Because it's hot and greasy, and usually involves cheese.

Sorry to hear. Shit's delicious on pizza. Most places here who offer "Hawaiian" pizza have it as capicola and pineapple.

This.

When I was a kid, my friend always ordered pizza with ground beef. I tried it once, and it was disappointing to get the texture of sausage but NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER.

Yeah; from a takeout place it is since they never season it. But if you make it yourself and properly season the beef before putting it on the pizza, it can be great. Ground beef and mushroom is one of my favorite combos when made at home.

That sounds like a Joe's Special, except on a pizza, which would make it awesome.

When in Mexico I always order it with chorizo. It tastes incredible.

Is that the same as capacola they put on cold cuts? That is delicious.

Re: Why Is Pizza So Popular?

I love Pizza but the only topping I can have is extra cheese...I cannot eat it with anything else on it.

When I was a kid, I only would eat the end crust and nothing else. Then when I was around 8, something changed in my taste buds and I ended up eating and loving the whole slice.

It is definitely one of my 5 all time favorite foods.

Yup. At the store, I can get it as either spicy or sweet as a coldcut but the pizza places all seem to only have the spicy version, which is perfectly fine for me. Gives you a pepperoni type taste without all the grease.

You mean IQ? Yes, still at 9

I have big problems with many foods due to stomach problems. My cat Halle has the same problem.

Re: Why Is Pizza So Popular?

Because it's incredibly interchangeable, and can be something for everyone. And because melted cheese is one of the greatest things ever.

Are you sure they aren't Puerto Ricans?

Our new favorite is from Papa Murphy's, it's a Mediterranean chicken pizza made with olive oil instead of tomato sauce. It also uses feta cheese, spinach, and chicken. And it's damn delicious!
Funny that was the only time I ever got food poisoning too. I was puking and dry heaving almost nonstop for 8 hours.

That sounds awesome, never been a big fan of pineapple on pizza.

Domino's has a Fiery Hawaiian that is awesome though - ham, bacon, pineapple, roasted red peppers, hot sauce, jalapeños.

I love pizza. Quality or not. Even cheap pizza is good, sometimes, all you want is a greasy little bullet pizza (like a Totino's), or the heavenly goodness that is Totino's pizza rolls.

I like Totino's Pizza Rolls but it's like playing Russian Roulette every time you eat them. You bite into the wrong one and it's like molten lava exploding in your mouth!

Hmm, they just opened a Mellow Mushroom near my house. I had never heard of it before but maybe I'll give it a shot one of these days.

They come out a lot more consistent if you bake them...crunchier too. Less likely to scald the hell out of your mouth at random.

Sorry Jay (and Miss Berry), GI problems suck.

The way you worded it I thought you it was just a taste thing.
