I'll take ALL the Howl's Eve costumes

Usually I start these Halloween costume threads much earlier. Because I really really really like Halloween.

After a string of costumes over the past decade (Leap Day William, Rejected Cotton Poof with the anal bleed, Ug from Salute Your Shorts, Ma-Ti from Captain Planet and a lot more) I think I've hit on my most esoteric costume ever.

It's the Tarot card from Josh Ritter's "Evil Eye" video. I literally think that only me and... Josh Ritter will get this without any explanation... so I'm prepared for a lot of explanation tonight

Re: I'll take ALL the Howl's Eve costumes

I imagine you'll get a lot of this:

You: [lengthy explanation]

Person 1: "Oh, okay..." (walks away)

Person 2: "So *who* is he supposed to be?"

Person 1: "I don't know, some guy named Josh Ritter?"

Person 2: "From Three's Company?"

Person 1: "What is Three's Company?"

My reaction: "No! Don't dress your kids as ... Oh, wait. Richard Sherman. He's OK."

I figured that would be somebody's first reaction. The girl reporter is what makes this great!

Right ... And how do you wear that to a party? Do you just lay on the floor all night?

One thing is certain. It's an obscure floor. You've probably never heard of it before.

My daughter dressed up as Ellie Sattler (from Jurassic Park). Love the originality but yeah, no one had a chance at guessing that one. Nothing really distinguishing about it. I did make her a JP ID badge/lanyard to go with it though.

Beats hanging upside down from the ceiling. Seems like the Magician or the Hermit would be easier to pull off. At least if he was the Hermit, the average person might think he was the guy from Led Zeppelin IV.
