Caption This: Bizarre Office Poster

Overnight last night, the following poster appeared in the public spaces along one of the office walls in my cube farm at the Navy base I work at:

One of the other branch managers was scouting around last night with an HR person, so the concensus opinion of OUR management is that it's an okey-dokey official poster... but nobody here has any idea what the heck the message is supposed to mean. Like many other employers, the Navy has an Employee Assistance Program to help you with things like mental health or substance sbuse issues, bankruptcy, gambling, counseling, identify theft, legal services, etc... I am not really clear on how finding a dog sitter fits into all of that, and my co-workers and managers are similarly perplexed.

Anyway, the spot they've posted this stares directly into my cube. The photo doesn't really do it justice, but that dog's eyes follow yours as you move around - it's like he's staring into your soul.

I think it needs a caption, preferably in the form of a voice bubble.

Otter powers.... activate!

Yeah, there's nothing more embarrassing than calling around to find a boarding place for the dog. I'm always afraid someone will overhear. Finally, a way to do this that's confidential!

Someone could always call the number and find out what they are offering...that might be a lot of work though.

Maybe this is a veiled way to offer help to those in the Navy who have a "very special" relationship with their dogs? Wink, wink.

Re: Caption This: Bizarre Office Poster

maybe they think a lot of people get called up for service and have to make decisions about pet care i.e. single person, sole provider, travel, new landlord no pets issues, etc. Maybe they realized a lot of people need options instead of dumping their pets in shelters or abandoning them.

I'd guess that this is from a set of posters with that bottom part being the standard and the top part being one of the particulars in a set. The pet service being one of many other services offered.

Maybe they realized POOPHEAP.foh.hhs.gov was already a registered domain.
