I'd be afraid to really get down while getting busy in that bed.

How do you not bang your head when getting out of that bed?

There are some Japanese "apartments" that are smaller than the OP pictures.

This one is 75 sq. feet http://www.businessinsider.com/small...n-italy-2013-8

But it's probably in a different world.

I'd be game for living in that one in Rome. It actually looks nicer than the London one.

Let's buy that house for Alan Smithee and see what it looks like after he moves in.

What's worse is imagining somebody who would pay that amount.

78 sq feet of glory in Manhattan

I bet his rent is more than my mortgage and condo fees combined.

Places like that, in cities like London or NY are usually for people who are never home, and just need a place to crash, shower and change clothes - 95% of their time will be spent at work (typically for government) and out either networking or blowing off steam from their high-pressure job having fun. No need for a home that's bigger than a bed and a shower. It's the location that's important; being able to get to where you need to be in no time flat.

Looks more like someone got creative with the janitor's closet and rented it to some sucker.

If he does most of his work from home, wtf is he doing living in NYC. Suburbs bitch. LOL at when his friends come over, the sit on a couch a few feet from the wall & talk. Probably talk how shitty his apartment is. At least put a TV on that wall.

I can easily live in a smaller type home yet NOT that small. I want at least the basics of a bed room I can stand in, washer and dyer, kitchen and so forth.

I could do with a 400sqft well designed home.

Re: 'Smallest house in the world' on sale

If I didn't own the stuff I do, I might be able to do a 500 sqft home. I way to much stuff. If someone is really into the digital media for everything (ebooks/digital music/movies/tv either just streaming or as files) they could do this.

It's definitely more presentable than Alan Smithee's place.

Re: 'Smallest house in the world' on sale

There are lots of people living in 200 sq ft travel trailers or apartments.

$1275 a month can get you 200 square feet in San Francisco.

$1275 a month will only get you 100 square feet in Harlem.

Jesus Christ! It wasn't that long ago when pretty much all of Harlem was scary and cheap!

My smallest rental is 360 square feet. Rents for $385/month. If it were just me, I could easily do it.

I look at these numbers and I just dont get it. I live in a 1,500 sq ft townhouse for 400 a month +association fees. Fuck living in a big city.

These are statistical outliers. They make the news because they're unusual stories.

Wish I could find a place in a decent neighborhood that size for a comparable price. I have too much space now in a 1 bedroom.
