What's good on Broadway?

looking for a good show that I can take someone special to.

i was thinking If/Then with Idina Menzel, but that doesn't seem to have such good reviews. normally i wouldn't care too much, but i have been burned before on the great white way and with prices being what they are i wanted to get some opinions of great shows on Broadway currently...

Thanks in advance.

Re: What's good on Broadway?

I'll be up there in October with the family and may catch some shows. Here's some to keep an eye on:

Re: What's good on Broadway?

I've seen,

Wicked
Chicago
Jersey Boys

Wicked is a big cool production
Chicago and Jersey Boys were really good.

Took my 20 year old daughter to see Jersey Boys. It was her pick even though I told her she wouldn't know the music. She loved it. Well done.

BTW if you dress up like daughter and I did, we ate dinner at Bobby Flays place. Bar American I think. Easy walk from the theater district. It was good if a bit pricey.

i think i want to see Jersey Boys too. my mom loves that music and loved the musical. i know the music, but think i would love the show. really want it to be up to her though...

i do want to see Wicked and wish Menzel were still in it, but she has seen it already and don't think she would want to repeat...

saw Chicago and didn't like it at all, even though the music is iconic.

Re: What's good on Broadway?

If you do decide to take in a show, the easiest way to get to the theater district is the A/C/L/J to Broadway Junction.
