Favorite "silly" words
Was on bluray.com reading a review of the HK version of Dangerous Liaisons and ran across the word "persnickety", which made me laugh not only because it was aptly descriptive but it sounds funny.
My mom was always fond of using these expressions, telling my brother & me not to "dilly-dally" on our way home. I think she invented some, too...she referred to someone with much common sense as a "nitty-witty" (although Mom has passed on to her greater reward, my wife & I still maintain some of her verbal traditions).
Another one is "willy-nilly", which I recently saw used in a review of Red Cliff.
Anybody else have words or expressions like this that make them smile or giggle?

Re: Favorite "silly" words
Besides the ones mentioned, which I've heard. I will admit I like willy-nilly.. It's fun to tell people not to go all willy-nilly and wander around aimlessly.
Flabbergasted is one of mine that I feel is a "silly word."
