The "Rick tells Dad jokes to Coral" meme never gets old.

Here in Fairbanks, AK they sometimes change street names when going around a curve. Granted that it's sometimes a hairpin curve, but one minute you're on one street, you go around a curve and you're on a different street. It can get so confusing when Google Maps tells you to "turn left on A Street" and there is no junction, just a hairpin curve. There are a lot of errors with Google Maps (AND Apple Maps too) around this area.
Here is one for you: in Springfield, IL folks will direct you to North Grand Ave. and South Grand Ave. They are two different streets running east/west, more or less parallel about 2.5 miles from each other.

During my third year of university, I lived on a street that intersected itself. So you could stand on the corner of, say Smith St and Smith St.

Fuck "no selfies".
I was just having this conversation with a buddy. In photography circles it used to be debated endlessly "should you photograph the subject, or place people in the shot engaging with the subject?"
For instance if you're photographing a waterfall, should you photograph the waterfall, or should you put your kids in front of it and photograph their reaction to it?
Now, thanks to Google Images, that argument has been put to rest. You include the human subject every time! I can google search an image of every waterfall in the world. Taking a picture of the waterfall alone is a foolish redundancy. One must include the human presence to make the picture worth taking. Without a living subject photos are no longer of any value. The selfie says "I was there. I made the voyage while others didn't." That's just human nature.
This is not to say that one should be disrespectful in your photos. It wouldn't be wise to take the family Christmas Card photo in front of the burned tower.

Yeah I'm aware of that. One must behave as is appropriate to the situation.

If someone takes a picture of a waterfall and shows me, I just believe they were there. I don't want/need proof.
I also find people just get in the way of the subject of the picture.
I want to see the thing you're taking a picture of in better detail and closer - get the fuck out of the way... I already know what you look like.
When people show my vacation pictures, I stop looking the second I see a selfie.
