Re: Asperger's Syndrome, Party of Me...

I just scrolled to the bottom of this page to see the newest updates. While scrolling, my eyes picked out the words Noah, homosexual, and Genesis. Good job keeping this Other thread about Aspergers open...

He posted a thread about having AS and other posters brought religion into the mix. Others purposely tracked down a thread by moviefan and then injected religion into it in order to start an argument and then get offended by his predictable answers. People get so angry because they can't change his mind. Well I would guess more than 90% of the earth believes in some form of religion or another, if DVDTalk posters have such powers of persuasion maybe they should fly to the Middle East focus on changing the minds of the fanatics there.

I've never been diagnosed with that one but if I read the wiki I think everybody I know, including myself, has it.

Well my point was that moviefan may have an excuse for repeated erratic behavior, whereas the other posters here continue to engage him on topics where he probably won't ever change his mind. Perhaps we should open more threads to analyze everybody's social and mental disorders, only to revert to the things we always talk about anyway.

So because of your experienced medical opinion that Asperger's is not real it allows you to repeatedly use an offensive term like "assburgers"? Would you give a pass to a Christian who believes that homosexuality is a deviant choice, not something you are born as, who calls them f** or qu**r?

Probably a bit of both actually.

why don't you spell it correctly instead of being a (seemingly) condescending prick when you write it like that?

Please. What a crock of shit.

Someone challenged him on his hypocritical stance that Aspergers is a biological condition that is not a choice and his own views on homosexuality.

It's never okay to be condescending to anyone. Even if you're right.

Religion was brought up before that. Regardless it was an unwarented attack against someone just because you strongly disagree with them. I strongly disagree with his opinion as well but did not think this was the thread to start something in.

He doesn't mean party party as in a party with music and dancing, but rather a party as in a group of people. Like when you go to a restaurant, give your name to the hostess, and they call you a party of two, three, four... etc.

I half-expected a mod to change the title to "party in me pants."

Re: Asperger's Syndrome, Party of Me...

Nothing was started. You don't think anyone of us isn't going to get called out on a hypocritical statement? Shit, I have people go back years and pull posts out. But because his statements have to do with religion, they're off limits?

But he'd feel a lot better if he went to a party with music and dancing.
