gazelle.com ...anyone trade-in their cell phone?
Just wondering if this site is legit. I have a flawless iPhone 4s and they quoted me $175 to trade-in. I want the 5s on Friday and this would almost offset if i were to get a small gb model.
Anyone do this? Is it legit? Do you get what they quote? how quick do they pay you? thanks. |
Re: gazelle.com ...anyone trade-in their cell phone?
I used them for video games a few years back, it's legit

actually, after the iOS 7.0 download it still wasn't fixed, but that is the only thing. i've had it in this titanium Vapor Pro case by Element and never dropped it once. this thing is a sleek beast. "good" condition is still $165 so will probably go with that option to avoid any discernable flaws... |
Re: gazelle.com ...anyone trade-in their cell phone?
I sold them a blackberry storm before. It was easy. I don't remember how I got my money but I'm sure it is all on their site. They mail you a box and prepaid label to send it to them.

Re: gazelle.com ...anyone trade-in their cell phone?
I'm locked in at $230 until October 15 for my 32GB iPhone 4S. Haven't decided if I want a 5S, a Galaxy S4, or to just keep this thing longer.
My contract is up so this is not a 100% pointless exercise in blatant consumerism for me. Only 95% :) |

can't they hold it in Paypal (as if it were there) or something? and then release the funds when they get the phone...

Gazelle has been around for a while and is pretty widely recognized buyback site. You should also check out Apple's recycle program and Amazon's trade-in to see if they give you more. http://www.apple.com/recycling/ http://www.amazon.com/Electronics-Tr...ode=2226766011 |

I believe they send you the box and packaging. You send JUST the phone, no cables or boxes, they add money to your Paypal account after the phone's been checked out. They email you every step of the way, when they receive it, when they checked it, when they issued payment.

Re: gazelle.com ...anyone trade-in their cell phone?
Shouldn't this be moved to the "Store Forum"?

Just lock in the price now. I don't think that the price would increase, even if it did, you could always get a new quote
i actually cancelled my gazelle offer and am going with Verizon themselves. $210 on a Verizon gc which can be used to buy my 5s. not too shabby... |
Re: gazelle.com ...anyone trade-in their cell phone?
Amazon is a gift card too, I think.
From what I understand, gazelle just cleans them up and sells them on eBay. If you really wanted the most cash, eBay is the way to go. Personally, I didn't want the hassle. |
Re: gazelle.com ...anyone trade-in their cell phone?
Never used. But they're legit.
I was in the used cell phone business for a few years. Terrible. Just terrible. Lots of scammers do cell phones. Most cell phone also wear down over time and don't work very well (like computers). And the clientele is very stupid. Would not recommend it to anyone. |
