Spoiler:
I didn't know Thomas Dolby's version was a cover until I happened upon a great live version by Dan Hicks version 5 or 6 years ago, which led me to the version I posted. I now prefer it. Both are excellent, though.

Glad you enjoyed it.

So why the name change for this thread?

Big ups! Never knew the Dolby version was a cover song ...

I'm the opposite. I have a greater interest in the music than I do in the lyrics, but I would never expect to see sheet music in an album.
I suppose that when the lyrics are important to the band, the singers enunciate clearly and the vocals are in front of the mix.

"Urgent" issues that are anything but urgent. Like, there's a difference between "You sold me an air compressor that seems to work, but I haven't read the manual, so it seems quirky to me," and "The air compressor you sold me doesn't work at all and it's directly causing me and/or my clients a loss in time and revenue."

The landlord at my shop has a very low bar for new tenants. Newest neighbor is an unmedicated schizophrenic. Wouldn't be so bad, but they write all their conspiracy theories all over the sidewalk.

There you go. I made your communication more direct, unadorned and unembellished for you.

A pet peeve of mine is hating to put my phone to ear when I forget my earphones. It makes me feel uncomfortable.

Here's a new one for me. Restaurants that take your plate to put leftovers in a box for you.

I went to Cheesecake Factory last night. I ate half a burger and only a few fries. I grab my container for lunch just now, fire up the deep fryer to reheat/cook my leftover fries and proceed to open the container only to find no fries. The server only put my half burger in there with a side of ketchup.

Just give the customer the box to pack up what they want.

Is it time to change the thread title back? The joke has more than run it's course and currently, I think the thread title is only serving to cause this thread to get less posts than it used to.
