It's too hot, 2013

Hot here in Seattle. 86 degrees! Could push 90 within the next week.

Man, it's soooooooooooo hot.

Phoenix, Vegas and other places where humans should not live look to be a bit toasty soon as well.

I'm putting in a request for anyone in such an absurd location to cook an egg on the sidewalk and post pics.

And I double dog dare someone to lick a metal pole at the peak of the day and take a pic.

I'm also curious how long it takes a puddle of urine to evaporate from the concrete when it's more than 115 degrees out.

Combining experiments and cooking an egg in a puddle of urine and then licking it while pole dancing will receive top prize.

Your reports are appreciated.

There's literally no chance that dry heat is brutal. None.

I think it was 116 here in Phoenix today and 119 tomorrow. Good times.

100 degrees around Houston today. With high humidity it was brutal.

Yeah, Planet Houston is like 10 deg hotter than Tampa, but with even more humidity. Insane.

It was like 85 deg here about an hour ago with about 75% humidity. I was sitting on the patio for a bit, but the sweat was just pouring down my brow, so I said fuck it and back into the AC.

Desert southwest looks to be insane. Over 120 in the Las Vegas area? Cripes.

What's the temp inside your house?

We keep it at 80 degrees. Any lower and our summer electricity bill would more than the $350 we already usually pay.

95 on the OC/IE line and I want to kill myself.

I hate air conditioning far more than heat, tbh. It fucks with my entire respitory system. I swear I am getting my ass back to the SF bay area as soon as I am able. Or Seattle, although I want to live inland. I've picked Issaquah as my future Seattle home.

80 feels cool though when it's 115 out.

I'm now happy about my $125 bill in the summer. We keep our AC set at 80, but the thermostat is flaky, so 80 actually reads 78 on a decent thermometer.

Re: It's too hot, 2013

95 in Orlando. About $160 a month for house to be 75 in the summers.

I know plenty of people in the northeast who stubbornly refuse to get ACs despite the humidity and heatwaves. I think it's a mental condition... it's like they just want to be miserable.

Re: It's too hot, 2013

I wish I could have AC but this old ass (1948) house doesn't have one and I rent.
I am sweating sitting here right now. Outside temp says 68 but inside my thermometer says 95
I may sleep out on the trampoline tonight but my luck I wake up with bird shit on my face.

It's a dry heat. Which means my pit and butt sweat evaporates pretty quick.

Extreme weather in Europe. We went from the upper 90s last week down to 50 F this week.

Re: It's too hot, 2013

There will definitely be some serious cases of butt rash this Summer.
This is the time to use those butt wipes we all talked about in the butt wipe thread.

It's currently 71F at 12:45 am in Los Angeles. I blame Obama for not doing a God damn thing about global warming... him and Gore, buncha frauds, that, and the NHS just for spying on me.

In Albuquerque, temperatures in the hundreds are unusual enough to make the front page of the newspaper. Thursday, it was still 100 degrees at 9:00 PM. Bleh.
