Those actually seem more useful than funny.

Can we keep the Epic Nicholas Cage Meltdown category? I like that.

Granted, my wife and sister in law would watch nothing but the Reality TV with no concept of reality category.

Re: Netflix's April Fools Prank

Putting some good movies in Netflix Instant would be a good April Fools joke

Re: Netflix's April Fools Prank

So that's why I got the "Reality TV With no Sense of Reality" category today- funny thing was I just felt like checking Netflix's screen, but wasn't going to actually watch anything since I don't have time. (And I actually liked "Cougar Hunting".)

That's the one I got.

Also, while uploading the screenshot to imgur, I noticed that their April Fool's joke was to have an option to snail mail a photo in for them to upload.

Netflix should keep those genre categories past today!

Trumps Redbox. I got an email from Redbox saying that they now offer deli-meats at the box. It showed the cold cuts in little plastic cases just like the dvds. It looked weird.

Those are pretty funny, and I agree that Netflix should hold on to them for a while. I scored the tiny children one.

Re: Netflix's April Fools Prank

There was another thing from Redbox saying they were going to dispense very thin, portable media players to watch a movie on, which would last for 24 hours and then could be thrown away or recycled. The site InsideRedbox which keeps track of coupons and stuff one year had a story that Redbox would be selling handguns, and the next year would let you watch a movie on the kiosk screen, just standing in front of it.

Yes, the Netflix stuff should stay up all year. On April Fool's they can put up movies that don't exist.

I guess I'm the odd man out...but I don't find them particularly funny or witty, just obvious and insipid.

I forget what it was, but Chick-fil-a's Facebook page prank was kind of funny.
