It's SSG Honeylamb's birthday. We will have dinner out, I think. Don't know where yet.

We're keeping it low key this year. We have reservations at a nice restaurant this Sat night. I have flowers being delivered on the 14th and I'll be making beef wellington that night at home.

Not a damn thing. I don't care about Valentine's Day and neither does my boyfriend.

Usually go out to dinner since it's a nice reason to go out on a weeknight. No candy - she hates getting candy this time of year when she's still "fat" from the holidays. Flowers are usually a waste since they stay locked up in her office lest the cats feast on them and die.

Re: Hallmark holiday: valentine's day

Regarding the implication of the thread title, I think you have the wrong "holiday". You probably have it confused with Sweetest Day, a greeting card company's exercise to sell more cards "fake holiday". Valentine's Day is a real, traditional holiday celebrated around the world and going back hundreds of years.

I'll get the wive a card, but probably not from Hallmark... she thinks that anything more than two cards for a buck at the Dollar store are too expensive.

Then we'll probably go out to eat and a movie.

I don't like holidays telling me when to treat other people nice.

Some candy, maybe flowers, and a card filled with scratch-off tickets. She likes getting scratch-off tickets.
