I missed that becoming a thing (I think it snuck up through toys for the younger kids). I can't imagine spending money on something without knowing what I'm getting. I got my son one of those "blind boxes" at a local comic convention one and almost everything in it sucked. I'm just not participating in any of that.

This is like if sports cards were marked in a certain way so people could tell what was in the packs, and you got to the store and half the packs are already gone. Oh, and these packs were mainly for kids who just wanted an equal chance to get something cool.

I think that was a thing with Pokemon cards a while back, where you could tell which ones had special cards by the weight or something, and scalpers were all over them.

Re: Lego Talk!

If LEGO released a wave of 700+ Minifigures then sure , it would be comparable to baseball cards. As it stands at 12-16 there is a very high percentage chance of getting a duplicate for your $5.

It still boggles my mind that the creator of Maus also created Garbage Pail Kids.

Re: Lego Talk!

Yeah I'm not fond of the whole blindbag thing especially when trying to complete a set. Are these distributed more randomly? I thought usually there was a whole set in a box. Because I could not find a Ms Piggy going through like 20 of them. Found a bunch of Kermits though.

Re: Lego Talk!

Finally bit the bullet and bought the Lego Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck. Not exactly sure where I will put it when I am done, but it was just too cool to not get.
Iím just glad that I am too old to have any fondness or nostalgia for Transformers.
