I'm not a HP fan but have to admit that's a pretty cool looking set for those who do.

Digonilly!

I used to have the last set before I sold off all my Legos years back. I liked how Gringotts anchored it. I guess it would have made this set too cost prohibitive to add Gringotts to this set.

That will be solved when they release a separate Gringott's set to compliment this next year.

Re: Lego Talk!

Thanks for posting the Diagon Alley i ordered it for my wife. She has a complete set of all the Harry Potter sets put out so far so she should love it. I ordered 4 of the Beatles art sets for me, its a pretty cool idea so hopefully they turn out good. And I qualified for a free Hagrid And Buckbeak set which is pretty neat

Re: Lego Talk!

I got a shipping notification for the Razorcrest from The Mandalorian. I forgot I ordered that

I just put together the Nintendo set. The mechanics of that thing are so interesting. It really works slick.

I hadn't seen the Nintendo set until now. Man that looks cool. I really want the grand piano set. Trying to be responsible......trying.

Re: Lego Talk!

Yeah, it's definitely an upgrade from the earlier versions. Buy a few Stormtrooper packs to fill it out a little, and it would be even better.

Fuck, I always said I'd never spend serious money on a piece but I may just splurge on this one. It comes out October 1.

Re: Lego Talk!

Really excited about the 1989 Batwing. And Iím pretty much out of shelf space so the fact you can hang it on your wall is pretty awesome.

Still looks a lot less creepy than the regular full size Yoda build.

Re: Lego Talk!

I said fuck it and ordered the Razor Crest from Mandalorian off of Amazon. I'm still getting Mos Eisley, but I think that one will be a Lego store exclusive.

Re: Lego Talk!

I'm debating the Razor Crest. I did grab the Brickheadz which look cool.

In other news today:

It's based off an Ideas set. The original LEGO Ideas set came with Gordon too, which I thought was a nice touch. The overall design was rough, the Master Builders improved it quite a bit.

Re: Lego Talk!

I'm bummed at how many Star Wars sets are impossible to find (for a fair price). I cannot get my hands on the new Bespin Duel ($39 retail) or find a fair price for Cloud City. Crazy how these sold out so fast and now are 3x or more on the trade market.

That seems unusual, I wonder if it's because of COVID, because usually Star Wars sets are plentiful and don't get retired right away.

On the plus side, as long as they hold onto the license you can probably count on most sets from the OT being redone eventually.

Re: Lego Talk!

Bespin Duel was a limited edition set that was originally going to be for Comic Con or something like that. That was hard to find from day one.

Betrayal at Cloud City is being retired this December so resellers probably snatched them all up.

So no, LEGO Star Wars sets in general aren't hard to find, just the two you want to buy have unique circumstances surrounding them.

Re: Lego Talk!

What are some good Lego websites that you guys use for information about upcoming or retiring sets?
