That's been retired for a couple of years now. They cut the price by 40+ percent and had some other incentives on it at the end. It would only be available on the secondary market now.

Amazon apparently still has some the 60's Batcave sets collecting dust in their warehouse, but at $240 I don't believe anyone would argue it's a deal.

Yeah, they had it for $159.99 back in Dec. of 2018 when they were trying to clear them out. Surprised they have any left at all.

Depending on the source, it lasted from "not at all" to up to 5 mins. It was so brief that camelcamelcamel never even fired off an alert. Most reported that the deal was over before they had an opportunity to react. There likely were not many available at that price and it was more about creating a buzz.

Fair enough - I just know I'm not going to be able to pull the trigger on that thing before it goes OOP When your 13-year old daughter is standing next to you at the LEGO store and says "Dad, you do not need to spend that much money on that" it really puts things in perspective.

I did get the Batmobile though!

Could've set that $$ aside for the Falcon.

I started getting back into LEGO right after they retired the first set. I told my wife back then that if they ever re-released it I was getting one.

I ended up selling a bunch of my old Star Wars stuff to fund it so it didn't really damage the bank account.

I added the Y-Wing to the collection last week. Now I need an X-Wing, Imperial Shuttle and Slave re-released.

Now that my kids are just about done with LEGO I can start buying the sets I want.

I'm still curious where people are going to put the UCS Falcon. That was my main reason for not even trying for the deal. I barely have room for my non UCS Falcon.

Haven't started it yet. I'm finishing my basement at the moment so hopefully I'll find a place for it.

I have it, too, but haven't yet built it. The issue of where to display it is part of it. The other part is that I'm curious what the value will shoot up to when it does get retired. I'm thinking I'll be able to make a mint on it selling it to Draven.

Building it is another issue. You kinda need a dedicated table unless your wife is cool not having a kitchen table for a month.

As for displaying the Falcon - I jumped down the rabbit hole of building a coffee table for it.

But then I wouldn't have the Batmobile I've still got the Tantive IV unopened - maybe I'll sell both on eBay and use that to get the Falcon.

Picked up the Speed Champions Audi S1. Great looking set, these old 80's cars really lend them self well to Lego. Not sure how I feel about the 8 block wide vs the old 6 block wide though.

The International Space Station is pretty awesome. Although the price seems a little high for what it is. There's no value in Lego like the Saturn V IMHO.
Now we really need a Space Shuttle but I'm really dreading how much that would cost.

Nice! $70 for 800 pieces doesn't sound too shabby. Also looks like a ton of printed pieces which is unusual for LEGO.

I still need to grab the Apollo 11 set too.

Probably not. The only Ideas sets that make it to places like Target are the pop culture sets like Big Bang Theory or Flintstones.

I don't think I've seen the Apollo 11 or Saturn V sets there.

Space station looks nice, but it's a micro set, with no figures. I'll pass until they get it right with a 4,000+ set.

Any of guys catch Lego Masters on Fox this week? Watched the first episode with my kids last night and it was pretty fun. I do wish there was a little more exploration of the competitors' builds rather than their personality and interaction, but I guess that's the nature of reality TV.

^^ We were really disappointed by that show. Been looking forward to it for a while, but I guess we didn't realize how much 'reality' type show it was going to be. Very little focus on the builds, just quick camera flyovers. We probably won't stick with it.
