My bonus is that even after working here for 26 years I get to work on Christmas.

$200 plus 5 days worth of salary for having 10 days over the 45 day max sick time accrued.

Plus I worked a partial day on Christmas Eve so I get a comp day for that.

Since my employer isn't doing well, I gave them a bonus and donated a part of my salary back to them.

Oh, you are talking about what bonus I got...well, same as evey year...nothing, although I am thankful just for having a job in this tough economy, which is a bonus enough for me.

Bonus? Lol...I haven't had one of those in a decade. I can't really complain bc I'm happy I have a stable job, i enjoy it, and I don't work more than 35-40hr wk. I can work more if I want more, but I'd rather work "part-time" hours. 70-80hr weeks will never happen again.

Same here...bummer is, last year was just above $9800, and this year I'll be lucky to see 10% of that. Financials are not that different from last year, but management metrics have changed for the worse. :(

Since I don't get bonuses for Xmas - would you guys mind letting us know what industry you're in? Sales commissions, and company profit sharing don't really count as Xmas bonuses imo...

I'm a systems admin for a small (105 people) electrical distributor. We get $50 cash every year, that's our Christmas bonus. We get 2 profit sharing bonuses, March and September. And I can sell back 50% of my unused sick time, so this year that will be 17.25 hours sold back. But, like you said, none of those other things count as a Christmas bonus.

My company went in to cover 50% of our health care. Saves me about 3 grand next year.

Our bonus is paid time off from December 21st to January 3. The company closes during the Holidays and everyone gets to relax and enjoy a nice staycation while still getting a full paycheck. It's awesome.

I'm at a software development company. Agree that those things don't count as a Christmas bonus.

I have a week and a half paid time during the holidays as well as what I mentioned earlier in the thread too.

I get my bonus at the end of July for some unknown reason. $60 per year of service.

My "real" Christmas bonus is being off for 11 days while only having to burn two vacation days.

That's the best kind of bonus IMO.
