Nice, but i wanna see William Alexander firing in trees onto the unsuspecting canvas with his almighty brush and slathering on some prussian blue. Sorta like a rotund Dr. Szell with pastels.

Google has a Bob Ross theme today, because today would have been his 70th birthday. Bob Ross was a painter who often referred to mistakes as "happy accidents."

I'm sad at all the people here who don't know who Bob Ross is

Love watching his show.

Bing will celebrate Bob Ross tomorrow and claim to have beaten Google to the punch.

There's just something unquantifiable about Bob Ross that is captivating. He was a fairly mediocre artist, and he didn't seem like a very charismatic showman, but you just can't take your eyes off of him.

But his method of painting works (even it if wasn't original). His show was on during the go-go-go yuppie decade of the 80's. I remember watching his show and experimenting with his wet-on-wet technique. A very enjoyable way to wind down after a crazy day/week in the rat race.

I just enjoyed the mellowness of it all. A nice background for a nap, a good way to work off a hangover, or something to offset the stresses of normal life.
