I've seen forums without moderation, too. Funny you should call this place toxic, because that's what I'd consider any forum with this size membership and no moderation.

I wasn't a mod during your time, and barely remember you, so my comments weren't coming from a place of moderation. However, I think you're choosing to focus on the negative. I've had plenty of great conversations here with people who have all different points of view.

I suppose I can have thin skin at times, but I don't think that was relevant to my departure.
Many people do celebrate things they love. Others feel the need to discuss why they dislike those same things. Different strokes for different folks, variety is the space of life, etc.

I didn't realize orangecrush's poll was 268 to 16.

Oh that's probably true - This forum is much larger than others.

Well, I remember you.

Yeah, I admitted and freely admit to it having a lot to do with what I focused on. I've had great conversations here as well.

Also - part of the reason I left was because I had to stop buying DVDs, and this place was feeding my addiction.

did lol. I read it out loud to my gf, and she went off on me with a rant about cow's milk that was equally hilarious... I think she wanted to choke orangecrush out through the internet.

I would have to know a few more things about you before I concluded I was better than you.

I remember you, but no details. The forum isn't as good as it was ten years ago. But it's still a pretty fun place.

272-17 now.

I voted for the Rockstar Mouth Water, so it wasn't me.

Nah - I don't remember you that well. I couldn't pinpoint any specific thing that drove me away.

I barely remember details about myself. I ran for office here one year.

That was me. Thought I'd try and help the losing side.

I'd say it's gotten more...normal-tasting, wouldn't you?

Yes, and then no, and then yes again, I think. It's so much more than any simple summary can explain.

The mhg83 dating thread is possibly the greatest thread we've ever had. Unless you're mgbfan, that is.

Re: Are you guys nice now?

Welcome back Trigger, but you really do need to understand this place better, I think. I say a lot of "negative" things here, and even call other members names. But it's all tongue-in-cheek, and most, if not all, of them know it. I take the same abuse in return, and it always makes me smile. We're a bunch of kindergartners pulling girls' pony tails. If we are snarky to you, it just means we like you.

Except for dork. That guy's a dick.
