How's your color vision?

Find out here. http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?pageid=77&lang=en

I got it perfect the first try.

But, then, I'm special.

Re: How's your color vision?

I was reading an article about people, it had been rather recently discovered and proven, that see millions more colors than most people do. this is in the last couple of weeks.

It's interesting stuff.

In fact it was a little bit like the old 'what if the color you call green is the color I call red' thing. They saw so many more colors.

From the context, it sounds like you left out the words "colorblind" and "they" from your first sentence...?

Re: How's your color vision?

I have shit vision (literally I gotta be legally blind) but got a perfect score on that test. Surprising how much an incorrect color stands out.

Re: How's your color vision?

My colour vision must be for crap. After five minutes I gave up. I kept moving pieces back and forth cause they seemed to change colour whenever I moved them. I was going mad.

26. I blame cataracts...

It's annoying that it doesn't show you which you had wrong. Also, the comparison to others of your gender and age is useless. The best for my gender and age was 0. Duh. It doesn't give you any rankings among same age/gender scores.

Re: How's your color vision?

I got a 4, which I assume means I got 4 of the color blocks wrong. The 4 bars that showed up on the full spectrum afterward were all together on the right hand side.

Re: How's your color vision?

I have terrible vision (with glasses, it's not bad) and somehow managed to score a 7.
I do have a background in art and design, so I'm sure that helped a bit.

Re: How's your color vision?

I scored 126, and 99 on the hundred point scale (1 point away from worst color acuity).

Maybe if I spent more time on this I would score better - also, color reproduction on this work monitor probably sucks.

The hue discrimination chart confirmed what I already knew - I am totally color blind with reds and greens.

I guess this explains while I'm a pretty talented illustrator, I've always sucked at painting.

Re: How's your color vision?

got a 7. I missed a group on the far right and far left of the spectrum, the pinks.

Same here. And sometimes it seemed like they changed colors without being moved at all.

I scored a 160

Re: How's your color vision?

20, but I was getting bored by the end and rushed it. I'm sure I would've gotten a zero if I'd just applied myself.

Re: How's your color vision?

Okay, I just did it again, but with my monitor in Photo mode. I usually use Standard mode, which is lower contrast to reduce eye strain.

New result: Perfect!

Re: How's your color vision?

Got a 0, which mildly surprises me because I kind of rushed the last one when I was getting bored.

Re: How's your color vision?

I got 31 and surprised that I didn't do better. Never had an issue with my eyesight or seeing colors or anything.

I assume it's my monitor's settings that are to blame.

Don't you keep your monitor calibrated?
