Mark Walhberg would have taken out terrorists on Flight 93

Idiot.

Mark Wahlberg may frequently play an action hero on the big screen, but if he was on United Airlines Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, he says he would have been a real-life hero.
“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did,” Wahlberg declared in the February issue of Men’s Journal. “There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”

The star of 'Contraband' and several friends were booked on the doomed flight from Boston to Los Angeles, which was hijacked by Al-Qaida terrorists. Passengers eventually forced the jet to crash into a field in Pennsylvania.
"We certainly would have tried to do something to fight,” the Dorchester, MA native said about the flight in 2006. “I've had probably over 50 dreams about it."
Wahlberg, whose Hollywood bachelor lifestyle was the inspiration for HBO’s “Entourage,” has changed his attitude towards life since having children and getting married to longtime girlfriend Rhea Durham in 2009.
“Yeah, a lot of people I thought were my friends were disappointed that I decided to settle down and don’t take them on whirlwind tours of craziness anymore,” Wahlberg told Men’s Journal. “When I was the life of the party, I definitely wanted to bring as many people along for the ride as possible. But sooner or later, you find out who your friends are."
Wahlberg, 40, said he's grown up a lot since then.

I picture Wahlberg taking them out Dirk Diggler style...and then I can't stop laughing.

Re: Mark Walhberg would have taken out terrorists on Flight 93

Top al-Qaeda officials pushed back today against actor Mark Wahlberg's claim that he could have prevented the crash of United flight 93 on September 11, 2001. "Without getting into specifics, let me just say that we were prepared for Wahlberg," Khalid Sheikh Mohammed told InStyle magazine. "Every new al-Qaeda recruit undergoes rigorous anti-Wahlberg training," he went on to say, although he acknowledged that less experienced fighters are urged to focus on Donnie. "In fact, we had contingency plans in place for a variety of action hero passengers, from Wesley Snipes to Patrick Swayze, may he rest in peace." The mastermind of the 9/11 attack also revealed that al-Qaeda's only worry was the so-called McConaughey Option.

We should get Mark's email address and all send him a message with just "Let's roll!" in the subject line, no body.

If I was in Germany in 1939, let's just say the Holocaust wouldn't have happened.

So Wahlberg is saying that he's made out of the same material that the black box is made out of?

Meh... who knows. Maybe one more strong guy who had some martial arts training would have made a difference? It is a goofy thing to say... but maybe things would have been different (for good or bad).

Hey, just saying it is always a possibility. The guy has a well documented string of street fights (blinded a guy even and went to jail), everyone called him a beast during that time, and is a boxing enthusiast with a boxing ring in his house, both Micky Ward and Freddie Roach trained the guy in boxing for the last 5 years and said the guy was a natural. It's not like the attackers had machine guns... So squared off one-on-one where the guy only had a box cutter, might have been a competitive fight.

It's a douche thing to say that he woulda foiled the attack, but its not like it was an impossible task.
