Otter SOPA/PIPA Blackout
Otter, if SOPA/PIPA passes, we will have to worry about much more than the mods! I will not be posting nor visiting here on January 18th. Who will join me?!

What exactly is this supposed to accomplish? Do boycotts really work? Especially of a website?
Maybe I should boycott downloading my movies and TV shows from torrents for a day. They'll listen then.

I meant it kind of tongue in cheek, if only to draw attention to the larger blackouts. Read up on SOPA and PIPA on the links provided and then contact your representatives. If these bills pass we're seriously done here.

I have to be at work tomorrow. So, no, I won't boycott this website. If IB wanted to shut down for the day, I would support their choice.

C'mon, IB....go black for the day. Seriously, this effort needs more effort. I'm pissed Amazon won't be black, and I'm pissed google is just doing a little link. If they would both go dark, and if Facebook would, with email links to their representatives, this would be over.

Never heard of SOPA/PIPA. Just skimmed the Wiki page and think I get the jest of it.
I'm conflicted about what bothers me more. Dickheads who steal movies and music on the net. Or government administered internet censorship. Both are evil.
