You obviously have a very shitty life because you speak negatively of pretty much everything on here. I'm sorry your life sucks and is miserable, but I'll enjoy my life knowing you don't enjoy yours.

It's true, I take a negative view of someone spending $2000 on a closet. An emotionally healthy person would laugh off the criticism, especially if that person thinks that the criticizer has a "very shitty life", but I suppose that's the difference between us.

Don't feel too alone. My wife and I are the same way, and we get guilted about this by friends and family all the time, especially at Xmas. We don't participate in any holiday, and we don't get gifts for each other or our kids for holidays.

Wow, what a happy Christmas thread Otter doesn't disappoint.

Is there something she loves and uses a lot? That might be a safe bet. My fiancee goes through a lot of perfume so that's my yearly safe bet for one of her gifts. She doesn't like the cheap stuff and nothing with a celebrity's name on it.

Maybe she needs a new coat? Does she like jewelry?

I was going to say I'm surprised Tracer didn't take the opportunity to mention that heterosexual relationships sound like too much work, if you're willing to waste that much on a woman's closet.

But I've SEEN gay closets!

It's no wonder people are hesitant to come out of them, with all the accommodations.

Re: Christmas Gifts?

Got a Kindle, some clothes and a movie for my girlfriend. My dad is getting a PS3, and my mom is getting a birthstone braclet (complaints about not getting enough jewelry at Thanksgiving spurred this).

Brother and Sister-in-law are getting some glassware and soapstone cubes. Younger brother is getting a hoodie, a beanie and some other small things.

Nieces and nephews are getting Pokemon cards and other fun stuff.

Might frame a Bill Murray print for my friends and their new house.

Thank goodness for Amazon's bestseller list. I found the coolest stuff to buy him yesterday. Here is one of the items I got:

Re: Christmas Gifts?

Just a couple pairs of clothes for my neice. Other than that, everyone knows that I'm the go-to family sucker for borrowing money and bailing everyone out with favors. So they don't bother me about Christmas.

Geez Louis! Lighten up.

For me, no one to buy gifts for. Barely bought anything for myself. Probably won't even give cookies to friends this year.

Re: Christmas Gifts?

My Wife is Jewish and has been flipping out/obsessing/being an obnoxious pain in the ass over Christmas and it's Pagan roots so ah ain't getting her JACK SHIT. Not even for any of the days Chanukah/Hanukkah. I thought we were cool with this BEFORE we got married but she flipped a switch on me. Oh well....

I'm very close to declaring a NO-FUCKIN-RELIGION-ESPECIALLY-IF-YOU-CAN'T-RESPECT-OTHER'S-BELIEFS ZONE in my Marriage.

I've wondered about this. Is it still a Blumpkin if she's the one on the toilet?

Seriously.

We have enough "issues" that we don't need to be adding Religion to the mix. Especially after we talked about this BEFORE we got married. Besides, I already told her i was cool with having our kids raised as Jews if we have them so I'm not getting all the anger and obsession.

I spoke to a girl yesterday who's Brother has a wife who did the same "flip the switch" thing after marriage with her Jehovah Witness religion. Now the family can't give the kid gifts for his Birthday or Christmas. I'll tell ya, when some bitches wanna have kids they'll do anything to snag a guy.
