I joined several local photography meetups and started to notice how many for-profit companies arranged nude photo shoots for photographers. Basically, there seems to be a substantial industry for booking nude models and then charging photographers an hourly rate to take pictures of them. There are group sessions but you can also pay extra for one-on-one sessions and the pictures of the models are posted in advance so you can pick the model(s) you are interested in. There are even conventions and even cruises that revolve around this. I never attended one but the impression I was getting from the ads was that this is basically kind of a variation on strip clubs rather than for men who are specifically interested in photography. You basically pay to be able to interact with a attractive nude woman while pretending to only want to take pictures of her.

The middle man you describe, there’s a word for that, let me see, oh yeah PIMP!

You hit the nail on the head. Notice in the video I posted she says she’s up for any kind of photo shoot, professional or amateur, even an iPhone photo shoot. It’s a kind of kink where the guy pays you to pose, and now he’s got his own personal stash of erotic nude photos of you, and what he does with them is...I don’t know.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that. More power to her. I just wish she wouldn’t wear so much damn makeup.

OK. The Banana Splits and Danger Island videos really gave me warm and pleasant feelings of nostalgia. I'm 47, and I think that show was something that people my age really, really have deeply embedded in their childhood memories.

In fact, pretty much everything that Hanna Barbera did in the 1960s is buried deep in my brain.

Speaking of which, here's a stop motion, fan remake of the opening to the 1960s version of Jonny Quest. Then I'm also posting the original cartoon opening, so the younger people here who might not be familiar with it can make a comparison:

All that Hanna Barbara stuff was universally shitty. Land of the Lost and Great Space Coaster. It was all crap. Just time filling wastes.

Re: Random Video Post: Eight Days A Week

Land of the Lost was Kroftt. The first two seasons were excellent, and many episodes were written people who had written for the original Star Trek. But season 3 of Land of the Lost was so horrible that it never should have been made. I can't think of any bigger and clearer example of a show jumping the shark than that.

On the other hand, Far Out Space Nuts (also Krofft) was horrible from the very start.

Re: Random Video Post: Eight Days A Week

This was my favorite Saturday morning show as a kid. I liked the closing theme too.

^Great YouTube comments for that!

"I'm gonna go get the Chantix, get the Chantix."

“I can’t even get decent smokes. The other day I asked for Benson & Hedges and I got Pall Malls. I’m an average nobody. Get to live the rest of my life like a schnook...”

^^
The one where the orchestra plays. At 1:59 the conductor opens his backpack and pulls out his baton in what may be the least cool thing anyone has ever done.

Drags a bit, but there's a good payoff. Safety first!
