White Coke

http://ecocentric.blogs.time.com/201...r-polar-bears/

Coke is going to raise awareness for polar bears by making coke cans white instead of red.

I wish they'd make the color of the actual coke white.

Re: White Coke

Why is that? Regular coke is too 'black' for you to drink, huh?

Re: White Coke

Wouldn't it work better to use the regular can, but put a picture of a polar bear on it? They could do several different designs, and call them "collectible".

Besides, how does my enhanced "awareness" of polar bears help them? I'm sure buying a Coke won't do anything for them.

Re: White Coke

haven't they put the bears on the cans before? White coke can would probably be a neat thing to see.

Don't they already put polar bears on the cans at Christmas? I know they're all over Coca-Cola's commercials during that time.

Every time you crack open a can of white coke, a polar bear gets its wings.

gotta love slacktivism. I'm going to change my facebook profile picture to a polar bear. 95% of my friends will see my polar bear facebook profile and won't change theirs to a polar bear, too.

Well, if ever there was a reason NOT to drink Coke.

Flying Polar Bears? Why don't we just give them guns next?

Why stop there? Why not have frickin' laser beams attached to their heads?

Re: White Coke

I thought the myth of the drowning polar bears had been laid to rest.

I wonder how much CO2 is released into the atmosphere from carbonated beverages?

Re: White Coke

I have a white toaster. Does that mean I support the polar bear cause, or do I have to buy Coke specifically for it to mean anything?

I'll stick with Coke Zero, which remains committed to the plight of the black bears.

Seriously, this is so fucking dumb. The polar bear is not at any greater risk today than it was 50 years ago. Why all the sudden interest? Oh that's right a bunch of debunked polar-bear-stranded-on-ice-flow pictures from 5 years ago.

If Coke really gave a shit about the environment they'd shut down their operations and go out of business. How much pollution is put into the air every day by trucks delivering their liquid candy that contains no nutritional value? Don't get me wrong, I love coke, and they have every right to be in business, but don't bother with the platitudes about helping the environment. Just peddle your swill and fuck off.

Re: White Coke

Damn it, I thought this would be a new take on the clear soda craze like Crystal Pepsi; they need to bring that back!
