Did you ever suprise yourself by getting a BUMPER STICKER?

Are you one of those people who shakes their head or rolls their eyes at people's bumper stickers? Too religious, too politcal, just too damn corny?

Then, one day, you actually come across a bumper sticker you wouldn't mind having on your car?

Re: Did you ever suprise yourself by getting a BUMPER STICKER?

Saw this one the other day and it made me laugh, but I don't put bumper stickers on my car. I did when I drove an old beater of a car, but not now.

Bumper stickers seem to be a thing of the past. Now everyone has those decals on their back windows.

Re: Did you ever suprise yourself by getting a BUMPER STICKER?

I have never considered getting out of the car and high-fiving someone who had a sticker I liked.

I have considered throwing food on the car of someone who had a sticker I disliked.

So I don't put many stickers on my own car, because there might be other people like me.

You're not suppose to surprise anyone, let along yourself, with a bumper sticker. It's a complicated and potentially dangerous sex move.

Re: Did you ever suprise yourself by getting a BUMPER STICKER?

The only bumper sticker that sticks out in my mind was one I saw back around '93 when "Child's Play 3" came out. It said "Don't Fuck With The Chuck".

I don't put crap on my truck, though. And I think "those people" who cover their entire back half with political/humorous/let's-all-get-along-and-love-each-other stickers are morans.

I surprise myself every day. But, never by getting a bumper sticker.

Never been a bumper sticker guy. Never really saw the need for it.

I always found it highly pretentious to advertise your opinions. Nobody gives a crap about your beliefs - stop, just...stop!

Alas, I just ordered a bumper sticker myself. Something I swore I'd never do.

It says, "RFK in '68"

I hate those fucking decals. I hate them so much. Also, why are they only on minivans and SUVs? I don't see them on trucks or sedans. I might have seen one on a smart car.

I've never been a fan of bumper stickers and never put them on my car even when I did drive old junkers. I have always liked this one though:

Facebook was built on this idea. Frankly I'd rather see bumper stickers then another rant about politics or something trivial on FB.

No interest ever in bumper stickers. Why ruin the look of your car? I did have a sticker on my rear windshield when I had my first car. It was advertisement for the dealership. I was too lazy to remove it.

Re: Did you ever suprise yourself by getting a BUMPER STICKER?

For what it's worth, when I was into it, I used one of these horizontal clear plastic frames in the rear window of our car, secured to the 'back dash' area (if that's what it's called):

Being a perfect fit, I could easily slip in a bumper sticker (however, I made my own) and change it whenever I changed my mind about something (...and being 'The Edit King', I did that quite a bit! ), without ever having to remove any sticker or the glue hassle that goes with it...until we got tinted windows, that is.

Re: Did you ever suprise yourself by getting a BUMPER STICKER?

I have never and would never put a bumper sticker on my car. I hope the whole "My Child is on the Honor Roll..." fad goes away by the time my daughter gets to school age, that or I hope she's dumb.

Best thing I ever saw on a car wasn't a sticker it was a license plate braket on a Jeep Wrangler, a big lifted one with a winch and off road equipment. It said:

"Jap Trucks Suck...Just Like The Raiders"

To this day I don't think I've ever seen such a rolling middle finger in my life. That guy had guts.

Heh...I have a Wallace for President in '68 plate on the front of my Galaxie.

Most people around here probably think it's Rusty Wallace...

Anyone else creeped out by this trend to Memoraialize dead relatives on the rear window of your SUV? Maybe this is just a So Cal thing. i find it tacky as Hell. It's usually a kid that didn't live too long.

Never have bothered with putting any stickers on any of my cars. Seen some cool decals for certain bands that I like that I've considered but don't really want to junk up my windows.

My truck came with a National Rifle Association sticker in the back window. I left it there so nobody would mess with the truck. While I was scuba diving one day, a buddy of mine stuck these on my truck and all our friends cars.

Yeah, I find those fairly creepy. Between those and plastering those Virgin Mary decals all over, Mexicans sure do know how to accessorize their vehicles.
