I don't think it's a matter of a category 1 hurricane or even a tropical storm. But the significance that its happening in New England which rarely happens.

So funny seeing these governors (Purdue, McDonnell, O'Malley, Christie, sorry I don't know who you are Del. Gov.
) build up their emergency bona fides....putting it on the resume for future office. Oh yeah, I can't forget Mayor Nanny.

Here comes Mayor Nanny again....what is this....his 12th presser? Before the storm has hit?
Even the Weather Channel cut him off.

The best is watching local news...the crawl....live from "Rehobooth Beach, Maryland."
Who can point out multiple mistakes there?

The best is listening to news anchors chastise people for not leaving or coming outside to look at everything.

I figured it was Bloomberg but how long has this nickname been around? I'd never heard it before.

I'm about 50 miles North of NYC on the Hudson and I just saw treetops snapping off in my neighbors yard. No real wind yet, this is just from the rain and we have several hours to go before the worst of it.

Yeah the storm last September was much worse than this... I love that the news still has to continue to tout that an apocalypse is on its way. Anytime someone says its not that bad or less than they expected, they want to throw in worst is yet to come even though the sun is starting to peak through.

Citizens of New York, please, do not drink the flood waters. People in North Carolina have reported kitchens damaged, which means flood water could now contain dangerous toxins such as salt or sugar.

This is nothing. We will all be done for in less 2 months or Oct 21 to be exact. Well, that's according to Harold Camping who is the authority.
