I had a couple with lunch, and if someone enjoys Taco Bell, I have hard time believing they wouldn't enjoy this. It wasn't as salty as I feared it would be, and the Dorito-shell is certainly an improvement over their normal taco shell.

I agree. It was great. I had three at lunch and I'm still hungry! I might have to sneak out to get some more before the day is out.

My roommate was eating one of these today. Looked nasty, but then again so does almost everything from Taco Bell.

I don't know why you would say it looked nasty.

It looked like a simple taco to me. Meat, lettuce, tomato and cheese. If deluxe also sour cream. Didn't look any different than any other taco I have ever seen except for the Dorito color which made it more delicious. Lots of cheese flavor.

I had a few tacos, and also requested the shell inside of a cheesy gordita crunch. It was really good, however, it isn't as thick or as cheesy as a Dorito chip, but the flavor is there. It's closer to a Dorito than those 3D Doritos from 1999 though, that's for sure.

Tried one. Shell was stale (or seemed to be). Overall taste of the taco was bland. Wouldn't not buy again.

Tried a few tonight. They were ok, but not sure if it's worth the extra 30 cents per taco. Might be something that I get every now and again, but it's certainly not going to replace their regular tacos

Dammit! Typo.
Would NOT buy again.

But it gave me an idea; make a layered dip (ground beef, beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, etc.) and use actual Doritos (or spicy/Tapatio Doritos) to dip. Would be way better and cheaper overall.

I didn't know tomatoes came on the standard tacos there. I thought that the tomatoes and sour cream was why you paid the extra 30 cents or whatever for a supreme taco.

A friend of mine tried one today and said the same thing. Apparently the shell wasn't very good.

I'm not as excited for this as I was but I really hope they didn't get rid of the beefy crunch burrito (again) for this. One thing I wish they would have done is instead of nacho cheese Doritos flavoring that the shell captured the texture/gritty cheesiness of an actual chip. Sure it'd be a little messy but I bet it would taste better.

Tried one today. It was pretty good, but small and overpriced ($1.29+tax). The Doritos shell was fresh and crunchy, but overall it seemed less seasoned than I expected.

I'd much rather go down the street and get 3 (bigger and better) tacos for 99 cents at Del Taco on Tuesdays. Let's see, that's < 25% the cost of Taco Bell, the choice is obvious.

I'd pay an extra 50 cents or so for this.

I tried one of the new tacos last night. Enjoyed it about as much as I expected. Nice upgrade over the regular tacos, but my cheap ass won't make them a regular thing.
