Please define "travel chic"

I'm a 40 year-old man who's attending a gala in a few weeks with a dress code listed as travel chic. I have no idea what that means. Can anyone help?

You dress like someone who travels, I'd recommend an an Air Force pilot, train engineer, or a bus driver.

I think it means you have to dress like a stewardess.

Re: Please define "travel chic"

I wouldn't want to go to any event hosted by someone who listed the dress code as 'travel chic'.

You're supposed to wear all-white to the white party.

Re: Please define "travel chic"

I think you need to put together an ensemble with cache, a certain je ne sais quoi, something that shows your raison d'etre. Top it all off with a beret and you're good to go.
