Are you happy with your height?

Well, a friend was telling my her daughter was tall and did not want to be taller. Her daughter is 5'6", and i didn't really see a problem with her daughter's height. I once lived in the same building as a girl who was 6'3". Now she was tall. my friend's daughter is 16 or 17 so she still may grow, but i doubt she'd be that tall.

Me personally, i'm close to average height, prob a little shy of it, but i am fine with it

Guess that comes to question, are you happy with your height?

They include most professional sports (see section "Sports"), fashion modeling, etc. Apart from these notable exceptions where height might reflect differences in actual performance, in most other occupational fields, body height would not seem to influence how well people are able to perform. Nevertheless, a correlation has been found between body height and occupational success in several studies across different occupations
Yeah I would like to be taller.

Wouldn't mind if I had stopped growing around 6'2" or 6'3" - but at 6'7", I've gotten used to ducking through doorways. Ceiling fans always freak me out though. And finding cars I can comfortably fit in is a pain. I've also never cared for the constant questions from strangers about my height. Every god damn day! I don't ask them how fat they are.

Re: Are you happy with your height?

Being 5'6", yeah I'd like to be taller. 5'10" would be nice.

I was much more self-conscious about it when I was younger, but I hardly even think about it anymore.

Re: Are you happy with your height?

For the most part I am happy at 6'5", it is just the little things like needing to buy shirts that say TALL on them and trying to fit in some of my friends sporty little cars that gets annoying after a while. The benefits of being tall outweigh the negatives. I certainly would not want to be any taller though

Re: Are you happy with your height?

I'm 6'2" and happy with my height. If I were taller then I would be literally running into issues like Bronkster described. I hear, "You're tall -- can you reach that for me?", enough as it is.

6'2" is a good height. I'm tall, but can still buy clothes off the rack.

That's what she said.

I'm 5'10", and I can see the advantages to being 6'2", but it's not something I ever worried about, really.

Interesting afterthought: My first wife was 5'2", and my second wife was 6'1". I'm hoping the third one will be just right, ala Goldilocks.

Re: Are you happy with your height?

I'm 6'2". I like the fact people recognize the fact that you are tall, yet I am not hitting my head on things. I also don't need to buy tall shirts, but the added length is a bonus.

I'm 6'7 too. Love being tall (the near-daily questions and attention, too).

The only issue I've ever had is riding in public transportation while traveling, and my irrational fear of roller coasters (I know they didn't design those things with 6'7 men in mind, so I pretty much spend each ride with my head tucked into my chest).

I'm right around 6' 3/4". I would like to be 2-3 inches taller, but it doesn't keep me up at night.

Re: Are you happy with your height?

Officially I'm 5'11.5" per the doctors but thats with shoes on, I'm around 5'10.5 normally and wouldn't mind having that extra 1.5" to break 6ft, but I'm not too horrified by it.

As others have commented on, I could use that 1.5" elsewhere.

6'3" and wouldn't want to be any taller. 6'2" is probably perfect. Need more room in cars. Any taller and shoes and clothes would be a pain. My son is 11 year old and 5'8". I worry he will end up around 6'8" or so.

Re: Are you happy with your height?

6' and no complaints. All four of my brothers are now taller than me, but since I'm the oldest, I was always the tallest during the years they needed to be beat up.
