Blues Brothers is good for Illinois, but Ferris Bueller's Day Off would be good too. Not Wayne's World -- it's set in Illinois, but there's nothing Illinois about it. They could be anywhere.

MD should be Runaway Bride, Wedding Crashers or the quintessential Maryland movie Serial Mom.

Actually forgot The Blair Witch Project. That should be the MD selection.

This is obviously a trick question. The correct answer is, "I'd change the southern tip of Delmarva to brown since it's part of Virginia, not Maryland."

There are a half dozen(at least) films I would substitute for New Mexico.

Whoever picked 'The Tao of Steve' needs to have their ass kicked while they're still wearing their damned pansy-assed bicycle helmet.

I wish there was a better movie for Ohio than one about dysfunctional white trash/perverts... -kd5-

You've never actually been to Texas, have you.

Texas should get divided in half, since the culture and environment changes dramatically between the East and West.

East Texas should get BubbaHoTep.

Wow, great thoughts here! Besides the lame white on yellow, I'd like to redo this map. I didn't make the original.

Here's my response.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to improve this?

I don't like Taxi Driver for New York.

1) It's not really representative of the modern city
2) It's not representative of upstate or Long Island

I thought of using Se7en. When most people think of New York, they aren't thinking of Corning.

As per the other thread, Great Outdoors for Wisconsin. Grumpy Old Men for Minnesota and Dakota for North Dakota.

Re: Is there anything you would fix on this map?

Seriously, a lot of people are complaining about East Texas vs West Texas, L.A vs Northern California, and NYC vs Upstate New York. Those three states all show up in a lot of movies. If we get a lot of votes or a good argument for a better movie, I'll change it.
