Opening Presents: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
I'm curious. My family always opened presents on Christmas Eve once all of us kids were old enough to no longer believe in Santa Claus (and since my brothers told me when I was four that he was killed in a bus accident, that was pretty soon ...
). Does your family open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

It's been tradition in my family for as far back as I can remember to open the gifts on Christmas Eve.

The family opens gifts from each other on Christmas Eve and go through what "Santa" left in our stockings on Christmas Day. This year, my sister and her husband don't arrive until Christmas Day so we're doing all presents on that day. It feels weird.

With UPS, FedEx, and DHL...everyday is like Christmas at The Edit King Bumstead so we open 'em whenever they arrive.

We would normally open up one or two gifts on Christmas Eve to get the excitement going but the rest are saved for Christmas day. It allows for some gift exchange in case not everyone can make it on either day.

My family has doe Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember. I don't think I've ever really asked why.

I said Christmas Day, but a couple of years it was neither due to going to either my parents or my wifes parent's house. We opened them a few days after Christmas. I actually like it when we do that because the kids get to open presents on 3 or 4 different days (not counting the dollar store advent calender gifts from grandma).

Same here - one each on Eve, the rest on Day. The Eve one is generally a smaller item, for a couple years they trended toward lounge pants or something, to be used on Christmas day.

Eve, and we'd take turns opening one present at a time. You could tear into your stocking-stuffers as soon as you woke up though.

As a child, the family would always open gifts from each other on Christmas Eve, then in the morning it would be the stuff from Santa.

Christmas Day in my family. We weren't even given the one present on Christmas Eve option.
It would just be weird opening everything on Christmas Eve. It's like premature ejaculation...
