Recommend Some Online Food Gifts

Anyone have some favorite online shops for sending food gifts like cakes, cookies or candy?

For the past 2-3 years, my favorite place has been Boston Coffee Cakes. They often have coupons and free shipping offers (sign-up for their newsletter). For around $30 you can send a big 3-pound cake and it comes in a nice sturdy gift box. Everyone seems to love it. We order it for ourselves on holidays.

Recently, we placed an order at Seashore Taffy. They sell Fralinger's and James taffy and candies. If you watch HBO's Boardwalk Empire, you've seen the Fralinger's store on the boardwalk. Love the taffy, mint sticks and peanut butter chews. The fudge was pretty good too. There's usually 10-20% Off coupons available. You can send some nice gift boxes for around $30.

But I'm always looking for new places. Does anyone have some recommendations?

The Salt Lick

Famous BBQ from Driftwood, TX (sw of Austin in the Texas Hill Country). It's not cheap by mail order, but damn good. If you're ever near Austin or San Antonio, go to Driftwood and eat there.

I've gotten Mauna Loa (macadamia nuts) stuff for my family in the past.

I really shouldn't have looked at that while I'm hungry

they run promotions and free shipping, just about anything I have had from here has been top notch. Their customer service goes above and beyond to make you happy.

I got an order of their royal pears one time and there was an issue with one pear in the batch, they sent me an entirely new order for free no hesitation

Wow, thanks for the coffee cake link. I've just ordered one of the three pounders for myself. Thumbs up for the Harry and David link. Never had anything negative to say about them or their products.
