Pants - One length (or waist?) fits all!

My new store is located in a mall, so I'm walking by different stores everyday. I didn't realize that H&M, primarily a women's clothing store, had guy clothes too - and I saw some pants on a mannequin in the window that I thought looked good.

When I was off, I wandered in to check them out, but there was only one number on the tag i.e. 33US, 36US, etc. or 46EU (guess I'm very fat in Europe). I'm only guessing that the number referred to the waist, but that would mean all of the pants were the same length? Is that possible?

Whenever I've shopped for pants/jeans in the past, I've had two numbers - one for waist, one for length, and I know just about any 32X34 jean is going to fit me right. Maybe it's just this one store, but I had no idea whether the pants were a 33 length or a 33 waist. I tried to hold them up to me to get an idea, but I don't try things on normally and ended up leaving empty handed.

I guess as a straight male, I probably shouldn't have wandered past my realms in the first place, but I was totally lost in there.

not sure if it's the case here, but some pants, sometimes in suits, are not marked for length, and are left unhemmed at the longest length.

HM has some of the cheapest priced clothing... can't say anything about durability, but oh well... pay for what you get.

their sizing doesn't really fit me.

their XL feels like L for me.

true XL is just right for my shoulders, XXL for slightly baggy, but the rest of the shirt is too loose.

I think Tarantino gets his jeans at the same store he gets his car battery.

I could ask my boyfriend about this, as he works in fashion, but... that would be helping Tarantino.

I have seen pants measured in S-M-L-XL, but their legs are always too short for me. So I guess it's "one size fits many."

I'm not that out of touch with style.

To be fair, I haven't posted pics in a long time. Although I might have to change that since so many people are clamoring for them...
