Okay, whether that pic is an urban legend or not, I can tell you guys that I worked in a Swift plant for a few weeks on a contract about fifteen years ago and on my last day, the guy I was working for gave me a tour of the place. It wasn't an actual slaughterhouse--everything that came to them was in that pink paste, like in the photo the OP posted, and it was sent to different areas of the plant where it was seasoned, shaped into whatever it was going to be--hot dogs, bologna, etc.--then baked.

I didn't eat cold cuts for a LONG time.

I've never once gotten sick eating Chicken McNuggets. In fact, I've never gotten sick eating anything from McDonald's. It tastes good and doesn't make me sick, so what's the problem?

I've gotten sick a few times from food and it's never been from a fast food joint. Well, one time from a shitty taco place, but it wasn't a major name and I've never been back.
