Looking for a new sofa. Any ideas?

I'm working on my home theater and just recently started looking for a sofa (or recliner, frankly) that I can place in front of my TV.

I'm looking for something very comfortable.

Any suggestions?

Big Lots, $300 couch. In 5 years you won't like any couch you have because it will be beat up so why spend $1500 on one

Hmmm. One warning about "too" comfortable... It can be a bad thing. I have trouble falling asleep on mine, every time I sit down to watch a movie. It's an oversized, feather-stuffed, chenille sofa (approximately $2100). You sit down and don't have any option but to just give in and relax. But it kind of sucks when I'm a little tired (or it's a weekend afternoon) and I nod off during [even the best] movies.

I bought a little leather 'office type' set, which works well when I'm trying to read and stuff.

I am a believer you get what you pay for. I've purchased cheap furniture before only to have it fall apart after a few years. Exactly what kind of life span does a $300.00 couch get.

And your couches get beat up after 5 years? What the hell are you doing to your furniture?

We have always been fond of the cost/quality ratio of La-Z-Boy products.

Yup'. They make good stuff. You can also check out one of the 'nicer' furniture shops in your area (in Phoenix, we have MOR Furniture). Nice stuff. Not designer, not brand-name, but nice.

Find a Slumberland Clearance Center near you and do one of those "buy the sofa, get the loveseat free" deals. We did. And it matches what Jacoby Ellbsury is telling you, too.

My brother picked up a nice sectional from Raymour and Flannigan last March. It's microfiber, can easily seat about 7 adults comfortably and is crazy comfortable. I wanna say it was like $1500 but not sure, either way seems like it was worth it to me.
