Best way to drive from New Orleans to Atlanta?

1. I-65/I-85 thru Montgomery

or

2. I-59/I-20 thru Birmingham

I am looking for the quickest route.

I'd use one of these:

That's a weird way to shill your porn site.

If it was MY porn site I wouldn't be a "shill". Though I guess you are saying that the pic (the first one) was the shill, so I can't argue with that. I wish I had a porn site, then I could sleep in every day. Anyway, pic fixed.

I did the Montgomery route back in 2008 (Atlanta to New Orleans) and RT 85 was all backed up. I then took the Rt 8 bybass and it took forever! I would give Birmingham
a shot.

However, in option 2, you're going thru a big city, so you rush hour may be something you want to avoid...

Birmingham doesn't qualify as a big city as far as traffic (or anything else, really) is concerned. We drive through it a few times each year on our way to and from Louisiana, and have never once run into a traffic problem, rush hour or not.

I have not driven the other route in quite some time (over 10 years), so I can't comment on that.

i prefer 65/85 and i avoid going through birmingham at all cost.. you might get lucky and cruise through, but you might also add 2-3 hours to your drive.. through montgomery is safe

btw... thats for me going from huntsville alabama to columbus ga.. so not the same route you're using... but the sentiment is the same

living 2 hours north of birmingham and visiting my parents 2 hour south of birmingham.. i can definitly say that birmingham DOES indeed have some nasty traffic alot of the time.. and can easily add multiple hours to a trip
