Is There a Daddy In The House?
So yeah, I never thought I'd be making one of these threads, but here I am. The wife woke up at 4 this morning, decided to take a test, and a few hours ago the doctor confirmed it:
There will be at least one little nickdawgy running around soon.
Yeah, I know it sounds scary. People keep asking me if I am nervous or freaking out, but I am pretty calm. Maybe it's the shock of it all? I mean good shock. We were kind of in "if it happens, it happens" mode, but we're pretty happy about it.
Any advice on how to handle all of this? I mean all (okay most) jokes aside.....

Congrats
You have 9 months to pre-sleep. And get your alcohol in before birth since you may not be able to for a while after that

I don't drink but that makes me wonder....does this seriously kill your gaming time and change what you do or watch? What new sacrifices or life changes must a sports loving, video gaming, blu-ray watching new Dad make?

It's your wife that needs to be scared. Trying to squeeze out something the size of a large grapefruit from that small hole probably doesn't sound too thrilling....
Congrats anyway!

I guess you answered my question.
Is that because of the fact there could be complications? I think I am most worried about that. Miscarraige, premature birth, birth defects, kid looking anything like me, etc.

for the first year, pretty much take anything you like to do or spend time on and throw it out the window. my son just turned 1 last week, so it's getting better. getting back into the rhythm of gaming and watching movies, but it's definitely not like it used to be.

But sure, waiting to tell folks is much easier said than done.

Okay, we will.
We just need Infidel to make a little Drink-Boy for him to hang out with.
I guess we will see. I am not gonna lie, I am very nervous.

My daughter is 18 months and I can tell you that at about 12-14 months it goes from being a chore (although you don't really feel that way) to being really, really fun. The older she gets the more she just cracks me up. Congrats man.

yep. once they start walking, it's way more fun because they want to be super adventurous.
