A pocket on the bottle is a plus because you can fit 2-3 GUs inside. After about two runs, you don't even realize you're carrying the bottle, but you certainly appreciate having it.
Thanks....Santa will be bringing her a nice bottle I found at a running Store.

Right now, I don't plan on running farther than 5k. However, daughter is doing the "Bridge to 10k". So I've added an occasional 4 mile run.

My daughter really goes thru the water. Which is good! I got her a Nathan Quickdraw, in purple...

Re: Biggest Loser 2010 Pt. II

This will be my year end post, I think. Stupid time of year where everyone in bringing over candy, cakes, pies, etc. Meals are too huge to eat, and too good not to. So I am trying to limit myself to a gain of no more than 10 pounds from around Thanksgiving to just after New Years.

Started year at a high of 272
Just before Thanksgiving I was "bouncing" between 218 and 223.
Currently 228. Will do what needs to be done to not go over 230, and get back to work in January.

Re: Biggest Loser 2010 Pt. II

Can't remember when I last posted.

Did an unofficial marathon in June but was actually too tired to do the October Portland Marathon. Sucked ass. Now I have experienced the advice of people who say don't run too many Marathons close together.

I'm hovering at 205lbs. Was 230 or so around August of this year, and then for those who don't know...305lbs back in October 2008. It's been slow, and gradually adding more muscle.

Hiking a full day tomorrow. Might go around 22 miles. Bring on the high-carb dinners.

Going Vegetarian has been really tough. Got a free turkey this year so I'm cheating, but otherwise, I'm buying soy chicken mutated (with little taste I might add) stuff to replace meat. Been about two months, but I feel better. Lost 25lbs within a month of going Vegetarian, dropping milk and meat. Still eat a few eggs here and there but certainly not as much. More whole grains are part of my diet along with fresh fruit.

I want to get to 190 by May 2011. We'll see if this happens.

I had run a 5k race (fun runs) in September, October and November. Daughter ran in two of the three with me. Wife didn't get us signed up for a December race. But already signed up for January one. These are fun!!

Great year for me losing weight. 292 in May, today I weighed in at 188. I'm 6'8", so I hid weight well when I was heavier. Feel so much better now except for the fact I had hernia surgery in Sept and thanks to an incompetent surgeon, I am scheduled for an additional surgery in January.

Dude, over 100 lbs in 7 months? I suppose that isn't too wild. Just over 10 lbs a month. But I've been going since Feb. and lost 50. Admittedly, most all of that came in the first 4 months, and then apathy set in. Great job.
