If you've spent any time on Facebook, you know these types of people.

Click generating slideshow with a commercial in the middle and the last slide is an advertisement for a spam generating GQ contest?

Haters say what you want, but Facebook has put me in touch with many friends I have not seen in years. Life goes by fast and you lose touch - it is great to rekindle old friendships after so long.

EDIT: By the way, I'm thankful to say I'm not any of those 18 types of people.

I like facebook and have spoken to old friends who I haven't in 25 years for some.
For those that don't like facebook, and the reasons they state, I don't see what the big deal is.
The settings allow you to have as much privacy and limit who you see and who can see what you post, as you need.
I can let my friends and family see what I'm up to, and me them.

Re: Eighteen People You're Scared Of on Facebook
Facebook is like much of anything else in life. It DOES have good qualities if you take advantage of them. Of course there is muck. The internet itself rocks, but there's muck. I LOVE Dvdtalk, but you woudn't catch me on the "Book talk" forums.
I think people who think it's cool to hate FB (or anything really) are sadder than the thing they're hating on.
"Hey look, I'm hating on the cool new thing! How great am I? Am I right?"

Gosh darn it. I've just joined Facebook too. Is this what I should be looking forward to in the future? As opposed to looking forward to the past I guess.

95% of Facebook users can't even spell F-A-C-E-B-O-O-K. Either they sound half-retarded, are posting from an isolated town in West Virginia or South Dakota, or have some idea they can rap words just like their peers in East LA or Detroit.
And don't get me started on the bored housewife posts.
