You should find out if her fiance has any married brothers or sisters. Talk to their spouses because I'm sure they know what the family is really like, and have probably spent a lot of time analazying the family. They will probably tell you not to get involved.

BTW, you can tell the OP is not serious because he didn't start to try to defend himself right away, and guys that start threads like this always monitor it really closely and respond, at least up to the point where there's a deluge of posters against them and they leave in a huff. Plus it's Groucho. No idea which of the two Grouchos this one is, though.
