Pepsi and Mt Dew Throwback

Anyone have this yet? They are Pepsi and Mt Dew made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. I had a Mt Dew Throwback today and it was horrible. I'll try the Pepsi one tomorrow. It just tastes weird. Probably because I only drink Diet Dew. But I would still perfer regular Mt Dew to this. It's probably the first soda I've had with real sugar in it. Wasn't sure what to expect.

I buy the Imperial Sugar Dr. Pepper once a month. Love it, but very expensive. And I just had some "Passover Coke" which I liked quite a bit. I will give the Pepsi Throwback a shot. Never drink Mt Dew.

It's a blurry still from the film Begotten. The film is seventeen times scarier than that avatar. But it's also really, really pretentious.

^^I don't know, I find Bus' avatar more scary. It can't be just me.

I mean what is that anyway? Green Giant's men jewel?

Re: Pepsi and Mt Dew Throwback

It's pretty annoying that these real sugar sodas (Throwback, "Passover" Coke, Mexican Coke, etc) only get released in certain areas of the country. None of them are or ever have been available up here.

The movie is pretty boring actually. I just like the image in the avatar.

My wife picked up some of both from Wal-Mart today. She said all they had was plastic and cans.

If it came in glass, i would have had here buy a bunch.

I think you mean no GLASS bottles, as there are plenty of 20oz plastic bottles available here. They are also available in cans but no 2 liter bottles. The 12pk cans of Mountain Dew were selling faster than the Pepsi but both are selling well.

I normally drink diet but had to try these. They both have a lighter, less syrupy taste. I give them

Enjoy them while you can as they will only be available through Memorial Day.

Re: Pepsi and Mt Dew Throwback

Anyone know if these are made with cane sugar, or beet sugar? A lot of times, "real sugar" means beet sugar unless they specifically say cane.

Re: Pepsi and Mt Dew Throwback

Just tried Pepsi Throwback 20oz bottle-- picked it up at Walgreen's. It was 99 cents.

Tasty. I can't really compare it to Pepsi w/ hfcs-- I haven't had it in a while.

Re: Pepsi and Mt Dew Throwback

"Mexican" Coke is great and get it whenever possible. Everyone once in awhile we will get some of the expensive pure can sodas that you can get at the supermarkets. Although I do believe you that the Dew probably was bad it doesn't really have the flavor profile that lends it self to real sugar . But don't let that sour you on trying some other stuff.

A mixture of both, from what I've read.

Re: Pepsi and Mt Dew Throwback

While I only have a Diet Coke once or twice a week, I did purchase some of the Pepsi Natural. And, quite frankly, found it to be one of the more putrid things I had tasted in quite some time.

How does the "Throwback" taste in comparison, for those who have consumed both?

Throwback is the way they made Pepsi BEFORE they switched to the HFCS. Pepsi Natural is a different formula all together.

I am planning a trip to my local Target this weekend...I will have to pick some of these bad boys up. I've been waiting!

Re: Pepsi and Mt Dew Throwback

I found some at a local gas station. Drank half a Pepsi and a Dew. They did taste a little different than what I normally buy.
