Just finished a glass of Edouard Absinthe and am about to move on to Duplias Balance Absinthe. Good times.

Damn, all I had was iced tea Friday night. Not even of the Long Island variety.

Two big bottles of grapefruit juice? check
Bucket of fresh ice cubes? check
Quart Mason jar? check

[takes sip]

Ahhhhhhhh.

Re: Friday Night Drinking Thread

Schneider Aventinus is a wheat doppelbock.

Actually, I realized afterward, that it was actually an Aventinus Eisbock that I had, so the picture is not really the correct one. It's similar to the doppelbock, but packs a 12% punch.

Regardless, they are both excellent beers, as is the original Schneider Weisse.

I had a bourbon-barrel-aged Russian imperial stout last night. Amazing.

Re: Friday Night Drinking Thread

I have one of those Aventinus glasses, but I don't drink it often enough. It is a good beer. Has anyone tried Clipper City's Weis Bock? Bus, that wouldn't have been a Ten Fidy bourbon aged RIS, would it? I would love to try one of those. I cannot believe Oskar Blues could actually improve on the Ten Fidy. I'm just finishing a growler of Founder's Dirty Bastard as of a few minutes ago! Can't wait to try a Hopslam. I've heard great things. I've got a Moylan's Hopsickle downstairs I'm dying to break open!

Cheers!
