I worked 9-2 at a pharmacy. Filled 46 prescriptions. I hate customers.

Doesn't everyone have their prescriptions filled on one of the biggest holidays of the year?

My favorite part is when people say something like- "It's a shame they have you working." My response is- "If no one showed up, they wouldn't open us." Which is actually true, stores that did less than 30 prescriptions last year were closed. My store did 32 last year, this shows the bad trend that customers really don't care that it is a holiday that I did close 50% more this year. Again, I hate customers.

If you're a pharmacist or a pharmacy tech, then get a job working in a hospital, so instead of hating customers, you'll learn to hate nagging nurses.

I was in Jewel (grocery store) yesterday and overheard the Cashier talking to the bagger. Apparently, the management had mandated that all employees who had been working for less than a year had to work on Thanksgiving; and to screw them over just a little bit more, they were not allowed to get time-and-a-half for working on Thanksgiving.

Worked 7:30p-7a. Got paid 4.5 hours of double time and a half plus 2.75 more hours of time and a half. This was my first Thanksgiving working, and I hope never to do it again at a bank. Around 2am it started (5a EST): The blocked checkcards. Banks should honestly not block checkcards due to unusual activity on Black Friday. 5 hours of pissed off people.
