$3.53 in downtown Seattle, fuck that! This city isn't cool enough to warrant that shit.

Perhaps what you're seeing is the high cost of real estate that the gas station owner has to pass along through his prices to his customers. The "cool" factor of living in Seattle, which is attracting all you grungy coffee-drinking hippies in the first place, appears to be artificially pushing up costs due to supply and demand, and you pay for it.

Here in Bloomington, we have lots grungy coffee-drinking hippies too, but the indigenous rednecks tend to balance things out. Our gas is $2.61. You just need more rednecks.

He can have ours. I would gladly pay $1 more per gallon to not have to see/hear/smell rednecks at every turn.

wow, I saw $2.50 at costco last night. The next closest station was $2.65 and many are still right at $3.00.

If Costco can do $2.50 one block away from a Citgo at $2.65, every other station within a 5 mile range is plain ripping people off at $2.99 or higher.

Yesterday I filled up premium in Austin for 2.99. I was almost out of gas so I did not have a chance to find the cheapest. Still the lowest it has been for me in a long time.

Careful, in Oklahoma as a non-redneck, you are a tiny tiny minority. If they go body snatcher on you, there's no way you'll be able to fake your way out.

You could have just said Seattle sucks, and I would agree with that.
