Re: Potato chips and other snacks - reviewed

I haven’t seen those yet but did see the two other Compion flavors in that line at a Target in Philly a couple weeks ago.

What flavor is Adabadas, spicy tomato?

Im on the look Out for these three flavors coming this summer.

You don't see it because whoever did the packaging doesn't capture all of the images on the front (you can barely see the tip of the slice of lime.)

It tastes like Chile Limon with a hint of tomato.

Okay... they're officially out of ideas for new flavors.

Yeah, back when I ate chips, I would've just stuck with the originals.

Ugh, original was always my least favorite flavor. If I wanted plain, I'd bite into an uncooked potato.

Uh, yeah, I know. But if you want to eat a salty crunchy snack that tastes like funyuns, why not eat funyuns?

Because people donít want to.

I donít eat Funyuns. Donít care for the texture.

I would be willing to try a potato chip with the flavor on it.

I found some at my usual grocery store and they were $2.50 each or 2 bags for $4. I got the Jalapeno Ranch and the "Seasoned" flavor. Jalapeno are great! Have not opened the "Seasoned" ones but I'm guessing they are similar to Dot's Pretzels. At 1/3 the cost! I'll be loading up on these.

edit: Ok, I tried the "seasoned" flavor. They are buttery but the butter tastes a little more artificial than Dot's, plus they have a much spicier component too, like onion powder, garlic powder and maybe some cayenne. Surprisingly spicy, but not so much that it burns. I'm going to try to get back there and snag some more while they're on sale.

If they'd just make them without the ranch flavor...

Why have a BLT when I can just eat these? My new addiction.

Re: Potato chips and other snacks - reviewed

Sure wish that they would make *tortilla* chips in all these fancy flavors, like BLT.

Doritos tried one year with their XJ-29 "secret" chips which were delicious and tasted like the Mickey Ds special sauce for Big Macs. Those chips never came out and disappeared after ~3 months, though.

Zapp's Evil Eye chips

I found these at the store today along with CrawTators and Voodoo flavors of Zapps. I don't remember hearing about these before. Lots of red coloring but not very spicy. I don't think I'd buy them again. I like the other varieties better.

Strawberry Switchblade, Jacket Potato, Sweet-Pickled Lemongrass, and Ratzeputz...

I'm kidding, but give them a few months.
