We need to talk about Dot's Homestyle Pretzel Twists. They're really good. I prefer the Southwest Seasoned. Now available at Target and other fine retailers nationwide.

I was in Chicago a while back and bought a couple bags of Dot's pretzels (original flavor). They were indeed quite good, glad to see them going national.

Yeah, those are good.

I've been putting them in homemade Chex Party Mix for quite a while now. (I put them after it's been baked, though, because the seasoned butter that goes in the mix will wash the seasoning off of the pretzels.) I never cared for pretzels in Chex Party Mix until I found these.

I used to only be able to get them at a nut/candy store -- I initially discovered them when they were giving out samples -- but now they're at places like Kroger.

Haven't tried the Southwest flavor yet, but I've seen them in the store.

Re: Potato chips and other snacks - reviewed

Yeah man, I make Chex Mix for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year, and this year, I'm gonna substitute in the Dot's pretzels for the usual Rold Golds. And that's a good tip on the post-bake pretzel-add, too--I'll give that a try on a batch or two.

Southwest has got just enough of a kick to it to make it worth trying.

Posted in another thread but wanted to share here..

Bought a bag of these recently. Even though i ate just a few pieces at a time over a few days this will kill me...but it was so worth it. Skins with some fat on them with a nice Maple flavor.

Sweet Minty White Jesus they were good.

Where’d you get these?

I only ever saw them near the checkout at Ace Hardware. They have a lot of oddball candy that I haven't seen in years and soda from the micro-soda companies like Boylan's. I always wondered who would pay 5.99 for a pound of pretzels, but last month they had a coupon where you could get $2 off up to 2 bags, so I bought one of each for $3.99. Man, they are quite tasty! I don't think I'd pay full price for them though. That's probably a good thing because I could probably polish off a bag at a time. Snyder's or somebody makes "butter braids" which are similar, but the butter flavor is built-in and not in the coating. There are some other flavors besides butter involved in the Dot's coating too.

Re: Potato chips and other snacks - reviewed

There are quite a few DIY recipes for Dot's Pretzels out there.

Most of them involved coating them with a butter/ranch dressing mix coating, and then baking them in an oven on low heat.

Absolutely! Keep your pumpkin spice, my signal that it's Christmas season is Utz Snowballs and white fudge covered Oreos.
Got a bag/box of each in the pantry right now.

Re: Potato chips and other snacks - reviewed

I went back a few pages and I didn't see these. My wife's work got them for the office and now she's addicted to them. They have a few flavors (Original, Salt and Pepper, Everything, Garlic Parmesan, Buffalo Wings and I think Cheddar Cheese). They are something between a pretzel and a potato chip. Their seasoning is nice. The Buffalo probably has the most kick, but it's not that hot if even I can eat it.

I get the Everything Pretzel Crisps pretty often. Great for dipping in hummus!

I’ve seen the smaller bags of the 3Ds at 7-11 in case someone wants to try them without buying a giant bag.

My dad is digging these lately. I have three bags of the things off the clearance rack at the grocery store. I think I'll be ordering more.

Found these at Lidl. So good and they’re also vegan.

Yeah, those are good, especially the Everything flavor. I have seen branded differently at Aldi, Target, and maybe Costco also. But, all the same thing. I choose Aldi because they are only $2/bag.
